As a pick me up, on a whim, I decided that I was going to get my hair cut and styled. So after buying hair dye at Rite Aid, I headed over to the Chop Shop, and told the stylist what I wanted. Let me tell you how scary it is when your seemingly gay stylist tells you that, "you are brave" for asking to get your hair cut short and layered. So I was nervous the whole time in the chair, but I am pleased with the results. I feel so hot, its not even funny. Nothing can stop me now!

So, in a few days, when I'm bitching about how I miss my long hair, do remind me of this blog entry, kind reader.

Pictures are on their way.

Ok I'm sorry, but I am craving chocolate and pmsing like crazy, so this is where I break out the girl.

Why do I look so ugly today? No amounts of Christina, and nothing anyone says can help me on days like these.

Why is it that in my IH class, when people do a presentation on WEB DuBois, they feel like they are walking on eggshells when speaking, because a black kid in that class claims he "knows everything about the civil rights movement." Ok, I'll give him that he knows more than most because in high school he went through that Back to Africa program for African American men, but because he is black, does that mean he has more right than anyone else to speak on the subject? No.

I say this because he was not there. He wasn't a slave, he wasn't alive during the Civil Rights Movement, and just because he is black, does not make him superior in the knowledge of these topics. He does not need to sit there with a look of boredom on his face, or criticize under his breath while white people talk about WEB DuBois.

Oh no, she said it. Yes, you're damn right I said it. I am so sick and tired of black people pulling out the victim card everytime they give a speech in class. I'm sorry if I sound like a bigot, but it is not my fault that slavery happened, or that you were denied the right to vote for hundreds of years. I was not there.

However, if we are going to pull out the victim card, I'll pull out mine too. As a woman, I was denied the right to vote for hundreds of years as well. As a descendant of Irish immigrants, I too was discriminated against in the work place with the "Irish need not apply signs," and beaten down on the streets. Finally, as a descendant of the Arapaho Native Americans, I had my land taken away from me from white people, and forced to live in subhuman conditions. So you see, I am in the same position you are. What are you going to do now?

See how ridiculous it is? I thought so.

Breathe (2 am)
Anna Nalick

2 Am and she calls me cause I'm still awake
Can you help me unravel my latest mistake
I don't love him and winter just wasn't my season.
Yea we walk through the doors so accusing their eyes
Like they have any right at all to criticize
Hypocrites you're all here for the very same reason.

Cause you can't jump the track
We're like cars on a cable and life's like an hourglass glued to the table,
No one can find the rewind button girl
So just cradle your head in your hands.
And breathe, just breathe, whoa breathe just breathe

May he turned 21 on the base of Fort Bliss
Just today he sat down to the flask in his fist
Ain't been sober since maybe October of last year
Here in town you can tell he's been down for while
But my God it's so beautiful when the boy smiles
Wanna hold him but maybe I'll just sing about it

Cause you can't jump the track
We're like cars on a cable
And life's like an hourglass glued to the table,
No one can find the rewind button boys so cradle your head in your hands
And breathe, just breathe, whoa breath just breathe

There's a light at the end of this tunnel you shout
cause you're just as far in as you'll ever be out
And these mistakes you've made
You'll just make them again if you'll only try turnin' around

2Am and I'm still awake writing this song
If i get it all down on paper it's no longer inside of me threaten' the life it belongs to.
And I feel like I'm naked in front of the crowd
Cause these words are my diary screamin' out aloud
And I know that you'll use them however you want to.

But you can't jump the track
We're like cars on a cable
And life's like an hourglass glued to the table,
No one can find the rewind button now
Sing it if you understand...yeah breath
Just breathe, oh breathe, just breathe

Such a good song. It totally speaks to me. Yeah, I definitely just said that. Its so true though. Anna Nalick is my new passion, but her album doesn't come out until January 25. Ugh.

Colin Farrell on Ellen. Oh wow. Oh wow.
