Aimless But True Ramblings

These are the aimless, but true ramblings in this person's "so-called life."

Ralph Waldo Emerson is a genius. "Self-reliance" is perhaps the most motivating thing I have read all year. I put its principles to test today, as I went up against a Septa bus driver spouting his union's mantra during this strike. Whatever...suck it up buddy, and take what they offer. My argument just proved itself to be right as we were stuffed onto the 3:17 R8 train like cattle. I was between two cars, and when I looked down I could see the rails move.

"Speak your latent conviction and it shall be the universal sense; for the inmost in due time becomes the outmost,--and our first thought is rendered back to us by the trumpets of the Last Judgment."

"Insist on yourself, never imitate."

"Nothing can bring you peace but yourself. Nothing can bring you peace but the triumph of principles."
