Aimless But True Ramblings

These are the aimless, but true ramblings in this person's "so-called life."

Tired and a little buzzed. I went to Tarah's brother's graduation party and danced in the rain with six year olds. It was a lot of fun! I watched Tarah's brother burn his Dougherty uniform while Tarah and I sang the "Alma Mater." (Ok, '03!) All in all a good time was had by all. :)

I missed my T-bone Salad.

So, yesterday was the worst day of my life, but then turned out to be possibly one of the best. I had jury duty, and got picked on a panel of forty for a sexual molestation case of a five year old boy. Of course, of all cases...I get that one. So as it is I'm pretty upset, so I eat lunch with my Dad sobbing how I didn't want to be interviewed by the judge and the prosecution and the defense. He tries to calm me down and after lunch I walk back to the Criminal Justice Center. I'm the third one of my group to be interviewed, but the judge took one look at me and asked, "Are you sure you're 18?" I replied in the affirmative, and he said, "I understand you are not able to handle the nature of this case. Is that correct?" Again, I answered, "Yes, your honor." So he excused me, and I went to Starbucks to calm down. In the meantime, in my anxiety I forgot to buy a ticket so the fucking Septa guy yells at me and charges me an extra two fucking dollars for a ticket. I finally got home, and I just sat on my bed and stared. Little did I know it was about to turn into a good day.

So, while I was taking a nap, Dustin called me and told me his game was cancelled and he read my e-mail about my bad day. He took me out for ice cream, and we went to see Raising Helen. I had such a good time with him as always. All I wanted yesterday was for him to hold me and make it alright, and last night he did. I love him so much.

Yesterday, I never felt more like a child in a grown up world. I don't think I'm ready for this yet.

So I'm back from an amazing Memorial Day weekend down the shore with Dustin! :) It was a lot of fun, even though it rained on Monday. We decided to stay over an extra night because of the traffic back-up, and also because neither of us wanted to go home.

In answer to your question, Greg, no we did not sing karaoke. The karaoke machine that was in that one arcadeis no longer there. It was a bummer too, because I was so looking forward to it. When I passed by it, I did remember how we rocked out to Christina Aguilera's "Genie in a Bottle." LOL :) Maybe I'll watch the video today to relive it!

Uh oh, I think I have succombed to the mushy-ness that my sister loves to publish in her webjournal, but I have to say it. I love my boyfriend oh so very much! :)
