Aimless But True Ramblings

These are the aimless, but true ramblings in this person's "so-called life."

Jesus Christ Superstar was pretty cool. Jesus was a pretty bad actor, but he was an ok singer. Oh well. :) After we went to the show, we went to Wawa and saw Gerard there, and wound up eating at Tiffany's with him. "And I say what about breakfast at Tiffany's." Sorry, I couldn't resist. :P

I have to miss half of the Flyers game because I'm playing at Holy Saturday mass. I am pretty mad, but its ok. I think I will survive. All I know is that mass better be over in an hour. Please, I'm sure Jesus understands, and wants the Flyers to win as much as I do.

My family has finally made it past the dark ages, and we bought a new dell computer and set up dsl. Oh yeah, next step...wireless. This summer I'm going to hook up the wireless stuff, and have the internet from the comfort of my own bedroom. I never have to leave home. :) Ok, I'm not a loser. I plan on going out a lot this summer. I'm just saying that technically...I don't have to.

Oh yeah, who's going to see Jesus Christ Superstar tonight? That would be me! :)

Hey everyone. Its time to get FLYERED UP! Oh yeah, who's going to kick some Devil ass today? That would be the Philadelphia Flyers. I hate the Devils with a passion, and I hope they go down. :)

I had a presentation on Mary Magdalene in my religion class today. I did pretty well so I treated myself to Wendy's for lunch. Yum! :)

Mmm...brownies are good. Can I say how much I adore the chocolatey goodness found in triple chocolate chunk brownies? I've been craving chocolate like mad. I needed some so I made brownies. They are good...very very good.

We had a fire alarm last night. I guess I shouldn't complain because it was at a reasonable hour, and its only been the 8th of this semester. Last semester we had 17 in the middle of the night. The most enjoyable thing about it was seeing the homeless guy who was asking us for change with cup in hand as we filed out of the building. In the words of Doug, "Now there's an entrepeneur."

I love spring. But I love spring when it is between 60 and 70 degrees. Not the 40-50 degrees we've been experiencing. Today is a gorgeous day despite the cold. I'm looking out my window and the sky is so blue, and the view of the bridge and houses are great.

Hahahaha on Saved By the Bell they are freaking out about Mr Testaverdi's history mid-terms. Ahhh....high school. Who misses it?

There is a scale of perfection that we can use to judge everything. At the top of this scale is perfection, and everything below descends by degrees until you hit imperfection. For example, take the system of grades most schools use to judge the schoolwork completed by students. At the top of the scale is an A+. Everything below that grade is judged according to that ideal grade of perfection. Since everything below it is not perfect, it must be given a lower grade.

The same holds true with humans. Humans are imperfect, but since imperfection stems from perfection, and perfection is greater than imperfection, then there must be a being that exists that is perfect. It is the A+ of the universe, and it is greater than we are. This is God.

In the Great Chain of Being there are many different levels of intellect. These can be distinguished through the ability and inability to question truth. Animals and plants do not have the ability to question, because they lack the intellect and reason. Humans have the ability to question truth because we possess these gifts. However, as we are human and imperfect, we do not always have the answers in our questions of truth. Since there must be an answer to every question, there must exist some being in the Great Chain that possesses the ability to answer our questions of truth. This being is omniscient, and it is that which we label as God.

When we question truth, we begin to understand the concepts of truth and doubt. Some may argue that it is possible for human beings to fulfill the answers in our questions of truth, however, if this is correct than why do we have doubt? Doubt prevents us from answering our questions, but again, because every question must have an answer, there must exist a being that is beyond all doubt and embodies a total essence of truth. This being is Truth, and it is God.

As truth exists in this world, so does fallacy. It is indisputable that truth is greater than fallacy. Truth can be looked at as the origin of fallacy, and it is seen as such because fallacy would not exist without it. Likewise, there must be a source from which we stem, a source of complete truth, since it is understood that humans are fallible. The source of complete truth is God.

Think its convincing enough? Yeah, me neither. We'll see how people like this speech.

I'm glad all my weekends are not like this one. I think if they were I would have to kill myself. In the future, I know not to do shows, work, and major school projects all on the same weekend now.

My dad gave me a great syllogism today. Here it is:
"God is love. Love is blind. Stevie Wonder is blind. Therefore, Stevie Wonder is God."

Hahahahaha. I love Stevie Wonder.
